Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is a healthcare professional with advanced training in lactation and infant feeding. I provide evidence-based support for breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, and infant feeding challenges, including latch difficulties, pain, low or high milk supply, pumping concerns, bottle refusal, and starting solids.
Hospital lactation support is often brief and focused on immediate needs. Private practice support allows for longer, more personalized visits, follow-up care, and support tailored to your home environment, feeding goals, and lifestyle.
You can book at any stage — during pregnancy, in the early newborn days, or months into your feeding journey. Many families find it especially helpful to book within the first 1–2 weeks after birth, or as soon as challenges arise.
No referral is required. You can book directly through my website!
I provide in-home lactation consultations within a 20-mile radius of zip code 80120, including much of the surrounding Denver metro area. If you’re unsure whether you’re within my service area, feel free to reach out.
Yes. Virtual consultations are available and can be very effective for many concerns, including pumping support, bottle refusal, return-to-work planning, and starting solids. Virtual visits are also a great option if you’re outside my in-home service area.
Grace Guided Lactation is a private-pay practice, and payment is due at the time of service.
However, I do contract work with The Breastfeeding Mama and am able to take most form of insurance at no cost to the client! Check out my services or contact page to get directed to The Breastfeeding Mama's website!
I accept Zelle, Venmo, cash, and check. Payment is due at the time of service.
If you have any questions about payment or need to discuss options ahead of your visit, please feel free to reach out.
That’s okay — you don’t have to figure it out alone! If you’re unsure which appointment is the best fit, feel free to contact me and I can help guide you.
